Hey Mama—today we’re talking about love prayers and why praying for love is essential in every season of motherhood, not just around Valentine’s Day.
God calls us to love because He first loved us. But let’s be honest—loving well doesn’t always come naturally. Sometimes we don’t feel patient, kind, or forgiving… and that’s exactly where prayer comes in.
In this episode, we walk through prayers for love in real-life relationships—your home, your marriage, your children, your family, and even the difficult people God asks us to love. These prayers are rooted in Scripture and designed to help you invite God into your heart, your relationships, and your home.
You’ll hear several example prayers from a collection of 13 Love Prayers, with encouragement to keep praying even when love feels hard.
So grab your tea, turn up the volume, and let’s pray love over your life and your home.

Praying Over Your Family: How & Why It Matters
Wednesday Jan 07, 2026
Wednesday Jan 07, 2026
Hey Mama—I'm so glad you're here.
In today’s episode, we’re talking about praying over your family—your children, your marriage, and your home—and why this matters so deeply in motherhood.
So often, we know we should pray… but we’re not always sure what to pray, how to pray, or why it actually makes a difference. In this episode, we shift that perspective and talk about prayer through the lens of intercession—standing in the gap for your family as a mom.
Because once you understand why you’re praying, it completely changes how you pray.
As moms, we know our children intimately—their fears, their personalities, their struggles, and their gifts. That gives us a unique and powerful role in prayer. After we’ve done all we can with our two hands—comforting, caring, protecting—prayer is where our work continues.
Read all the prayers listed in this episode HERE.

Mama, you are called to pray.Over your children. Over your marriage. Over your home.
You can only do so much with your hands—but prayer places the rest in God’s very capable hands.
You’ve got this.

Little Bit of Lavender
Where did the inspiration for “Busy Moms, Christian Homes” come from? My blog, Little Bit of Lavender. The more I wrote, the more I realized moms needed another way to be encouraged. Sometimes you don’t have five minutes to sit and read but you do have five minutes to listen while completing other tasks! So this podcast is an extension of the resources available on my website so moms can build a Christian home while they are cooking, cleaning and loving their babies. If you have an extra minute or need more resources, check out my website Little Bit of Motherhood for all things lavender!
