Mama, the Christmas season is here—and before the busyness, lights, and celebrations sweep us away, let’s pause and prepare our hearts for what Advent is really about: the coming of Jesus.

The Importance of God's Presence in Your Home
Wednesday Nov 26, 2025
Wednesday Nov 26, 2025
Mama, let’s talk about something that can completely shift the atmosphere of your home—the presence of God.
We know from Scripture that God is always with us… but if we’re honest, in the noise, chaos, and exhaustion of family life, it’s easy to forget He’s right there in the middle of it.
In today’s episode, we’re diving into why the presence of God matters in your everyday space—not just on Sunday mornings, but in your kitchen, your living room, your kids’ bedrooms, and all the messy, noisy, imperfect moments in between.
You don’t need a quiet house, perfectly behaved kids, or a Pinterest-worthy routine for your home to be filled with God’s peace. His presence meets us right where we are—laundry piles, cracker crumbs, chaos and all.
And if you’ve ever struggled with how to pray over your home or wondered where to start, I’ve got something that will help: Pray Over Your Home, a 30-day guided prayer journey that covers every room, every relationship, and the entire atmosphere of your home in Scripture-based prayer—all in just 5–10 minutes a day.Get the details HERE.
Mama, God wants to make your ordinary life extraordinary with His presence.

Contentment in the Bible: Cultivating Contentment in Your Home
Wednesday Nov 19, 2025
Wednesday Nov 19, 2025
Contentment is one of those lessons we keep learning—whether we’re standing in the store debating a pair of shoes or navigating our kids’ endless wish lists. It’s not something we’re born with. It’s something we practice, over and over again. And the same is true for our children.
In this episode, we dive deep into what biblical contentment really looks like and how we can teach it to our children in a world overflowing with stuff, choices, and constant comparison. We unpack three key Scriptures—Philippians 4:11–13, Hebrews 13:5, and 1 Timothy 6:6–8—and explore what it means to learn to be content in seasons of plenty and seasons of want.
This episode will help you slow down, reset your expectations, and step into a calmer, more grateful rhythm at home. God has given us more than enough—and now we get to teach our children how to recognize it.

Wednesday Oct 22, 2025
Hey Mama, I’m so glad you’re here!
Today we’re talking about a costume you’ll wear far more than just on Halloween — the Armor of God. This isn’t just for us as moms, but something we can teach our children to put on daily.
In this episode, I’ll walk you through:
✨ How to explain the Armor of God to your kids (even the little ones!)
✨ Simple, everyday examples they’ll understand
✨ A free printable activity you can use at home, in homeschool, or even at church
The truth is, our kids are growing up in a world full of darkness — but God has given them everything they need to stand strong. From the belt of truth to the shield of faith, we’ll talk about how to help them understand what each piece of armor means and how they can live it out in real life.
📖 Key Scripture: Ephesians 6:10–18 “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”

I’ll share encouragement, scriptures, and practical ways to turn your daily work into worship—so you don’t just survive the mundane, but find joy in it.

Little Bit of Lavender
Where did the inspiration for “Busy Moms, Christian Homes” come from? My blog, Little Bit of Lavender. The more I wrote, the more I realized moms needed another way to be encouraged. Sometimes you don’t have five minutes to sit and read but you do have five minutes to listen while completing other tasks! So this podcast is an extension of the resources available on my website so moms can build a Christian home while they are cooking, cleaning and loving their babies. If you have an extra minute or need more resources, check out my website Little Bit of Motherhood for all things lavender!
